Art in Translation (AIT) is the new e-journal edited by Iain Boyd Whyte, Director of VARIE. Its aim is to publish English translations of the best writing from around the world on the visual arts, architecture, and design. The journal was launched on 26 February 2009 and will appear three times a year. The first issue of the journal was marked with an international symposium entitled Art Writing: Translations, Adaptations, Modalities, in Edinburgh on 23 and 24 April 2009.View the inaugural issue free of charge, or visit the dedicated Art in Translation pages on the VARIE website for more information.
